For years, I’ve known that God called me for something. Around 2011, I received the allegory of Alice in Wonderland and the Kingdom of God, which led to the creation of this website, seekingwonderland.org. Ever since, I’ve believed this allegory and this site are tied to my calling, even if I don’t see the full picture yet.
I’ve always known I have a message — but so do others. This isn’t just about me. For a long time, I’ve felt the need to gather a community of seekers and believers (even non-believers) under the banner of faith and spiritual conversation. A Mad Tea Party of sorts — a gathering of outsiders and misfits, to speak, confess, share, and bring out what we usually hide to look “normal.”
And conversation alone is not all I've been shown. One image I received was of a community putting God’s love into action — caring for the homeless, the lost, and the addicted. I imagine raising funds for shower buses, so people on the streets could wash and be prayed for, just as Christ once washed the feet of His disciples. That’s the kind of love I long to see lived out.
I, the biggest misfit of all, finally say what I’ve feared to say:
I’m not looking for those who need to fit in. If fitting in is your goal, then there’s no room at The Mad Tea Party. But if you’re not afraid to be a little mad — because we’re all mad here — and if your love is bigger than the need to be socially acceptable, then there’s plenty of room at the table.
By subscribing to our email list, you’ll receive updates, reflections, and invitations to join the conversation. Please be patient; it’s a work in progress.
