God's people are like a Puzzle.
What does that mean?
It means that we, God's people, the Body of Christ, are like little pieces of a bigger truth, a bigger picture. That picture has been fractured into many smaller pieces, and we are those puzzle pieces.
Why is it this way?
God made it this way in order to teach how us to come together, to set our differences aside and work with one another. Only in this way, by joining with the other pieces can the full truth, the full image of God emerge and become visible for all to see. There is great wisdom in this. Learning to work together with someone who is different from you takes spiritual maturity. You must learn to be humble, patient, wise, reliable, trusting, and kind. Most of all, you must learn to have love. These qualities are not easily acquired. Because love takes work.
What do I mean when I say "the Body of Christ?"
I mean "the Body of God," which are all the children of God in this world. All the people that belong to Him. Not just Christians. It doesn't matter what religion you belong to. It only matters if you are of the truth and growing and moving towards God.
Jesus said to His disciples: I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. (Jn 10:16)
Why does the Bible talk about the Body of Christ?
A body has many parts and they are all needed. Just like your hands and feet are part of your body and belong to it, the children of God are body parts of the Body of God, all functioning as One.
It takes team work.
